Sanyo Katana II Review - A Review of the Sanyo Katana II Cell Phone

Like the original model, the Sanyo Katana II cellular phone has style written all over it. This generation comes with a sleeker shape and a different finish. The features have been refined and the phone is better than the original, if one can imagine such a thing.

It comes available in three new colors: Cosmic Black, Pink Fascination and Midnight Steel. It's got an ultra slim profile, and it makes you wonder how a phone that only weighs 3.1 ounces can have so many features to offer.

Some of the features include speakerphone, a 2 inch QVGA 65K color main LCD, 1 inch external display, voice activated dialing for up to 30 entries, voice memo for up to 3 minutes, calendar, to do list, 4 distinct vibrating alerts, M4 hearing aid compatibility, world clock and more. Best yet, one can use all of these features for 3.5 hours straight before running out of battery. When the extended battery is purchased, the time increases to 5.8 hours.

In the event that the cell phone is lost or stolen, the contacts in the phone will be safe because the Katana II automatically stores a backup of all contacts to a secure location within the Sprint web site.

This cellular handset is also a very family friendly mobile phone. Parents can restrict both incoming and outgoing calls to only contacts listed in the phone, and can also lock and unlock voice calls and web access. Another feature that families can take advantage of is the optional GPS service from Sprint that will allow parents to locate loved ones from their phone or the web. All in all, the Katana II is a fantastic cell phone that has taken the best from the original model and tweaked it a bit to give users the best phone possible.
