The Samsung SGH-X495 is a sleek flip phone with 3 megabytes of shared memory. The 65K UFB internal display features QQVGA resolution and measures 1.77". The external black and white display measures 1.1" and features a resolution of 96 by 64 pixels. The phone comes with Java 2 and WAP 2.0 preinstalled.
The Samsung SGH-X495 comes with 64 polyphonic ringtones. 3D sound technology ensures superior quality for SMAF and SMF and MP3 files. Downloadable customizations can give the phone a personal uniqueness. The Samsung SGH-X495 weighs 3.2 ounces and measures 3.54" high, 1.85" wide and 0.94" thick. The phone's flip design both protects the display and keyboard and shows an attractive face to the world. The exterior of the phone is silver and the antenna is contained within the body.
Voice memo and voicemail are standard features on the SGH-X495, as is enhanced SMS and EMS messaging. Image and sound messaging come with the SMS package, and outgoing messages may reach a size of 95 kilobytes. MMS configuration is also included. The phone records sent, received and missed calls.
The Samsung SGH-X495 operates on the 850, 1800 and 1900 MHz bands. The phone also uses CSD/GPRS class 10. Battery life lets users talk for more than 2.5 hours, and the phone will stand by for a minimum of 200 hours. The operating system is proprietary and users can browse the Internet using WAP 2.0.
The Samsung SGH-X495 holds up to 1000 phone book entries. The phone also includes an array of Personal Information Management features, including a calculator, an alarm and a calendar. The speakerphone feature allows the user to talk safely and efficiently no matter what else they are doing.
