Two beautiful Asian chicks, one touching the other's cheek and touching the LG SH240 keypad at the same time; that is one if the many ways this new and peculiar mobile phone is being marketed in Korea. Apparently LG hasn't stopped at the release of it's sexy Shine version which will be featured in the movie "Iron Man" as a modified version, the LG team has gone a step further to actually make their phone keypad feel better to the human touch, literally.
Previous mobile phone models manufactured by this company as well as all other mobile phone companies featured keypads which are made of hard plastic which made them durable, however LG decided to give their newest mobile phone's keypad a radical spin, instead of using the traditional hard plastic they decided to go with specially made silicone.
Using silicone as the primary material for the LG SH240's keypad provides the sensation of touching someone else's skin instead of touching hard plastic, this is the primary reason why it is advertised using two beautiful models with perfect skin. While most people may find this new feature unappealing, others who use their mobile phones for some heavy text messaging will definitively find the new keypad to be quite nice to the touch.
This phone is a 3G (third generation) device which has all of the now standard features found in similar mobile devices such as a 2 megapixel digital camera, an MP3 player, video telephony, a memory slot to increase it's storage capacity and even HDSPA 3G connectivity which stands for high-speed downlink packet access, this allows devices which operate within networks using the universal mobile telecommunication system to have higher transfer speeds which can peek at 42Mbit per second; this is a considerable improvement in all 3G mobile phones.
The phone itself is somewhat similar to the Shine version in the sense that the keyboard slides out, the way it is designed is also similar to the Shine, however this is the only mobile phone which has been launched by LG which has such a human skin-like keypad. This version has been launched in Korea which is considered a test market for this device, no word has been heard regarding American carriers who will be interested in promoting a phone which main feature is a skin-like silicone based keypad.
